Teacher Feature: Mrs. Teckla Coerber
This week’s teacher feature is
one of our 4-year-old Preschool teachers at St. Luke’s. Her favorite Bible verse, Hebrews 11:1, reflects the foundation she hopes to instill in her students—a confident, growing faith. She shares that one of her favorite parts of working at St. Luke’s is the incredible support and encouragement from fellow teachers and staff, along with the meaningful relationships she builds with students and families as she watches seeds of faith take root and grow.

They have two children: Kierra, who attends Seminole State and hopes to transfer to UCF to study animal science, and Tavian, a junior at Oviedo High School who enjoys Muay Thai and weightlifting. Their family also includes two dogs, a rescue pup and a beagle.
Mrs. Coerber earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska, and recently completed her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education through the American College of Education. Students may be surprised to learn that she has survived being struck by lightning! She encourages her students to dream big and not let the world define what they are capable of. We are grateful for the faith, passion, and care Mrs. Coerber pours into her students each day.
