I hope and pray that you are all having a relaxing and joyous summer! Here at St. Luke’s, we are
busy planning and preparing for the upcoming school year. One of our favorite things to do is to
develop a theme for the new year. I’m pleased to share with you that the theme for 2024-2025
is “Feel the Power!” based on 2 Timothy 1:7: “For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power
and love and self-control.”
It’s a great big world out there and sometimes it can feel like there’s not much we can do to
make a difference. There are so many problems and challenges around us…can we do anything
that really matters? The good news is that as children of God the answer is YES! 2 Timothy 1:7
tells us that a life in Christ gives us the incredible power that comes only from God. We need
not fear or doubt or give up. Instead, we can embrace the gift of power God has given us to
make a difference in the lives of those around us. Feel the power!
