Greetings St. Luke’s families,

We know that many of you know people or organizations impacted significantly by hurricanes Helene and Milton. Many are suffering and facing major challenges to clean up, repair, and rebuild.

One of those places is our sister school Grace Lutheran School in St. Petersburg. They incurred serious flood damage, and inspectors have found levels of mold that will require professional remediation. With classrooms out of commission, they moved their entire preschool into their gym and their whole middle school into their sanctuary. They’re using every undamaged space to house the remaining classes but currently struggling to get what they need.

They are determined but the path ahead will be tough as many in their school and church have uninhabitable homes.

In an effort to help we are making a one-time appeal for monetary donations that will be given directly to Grace St. Pete for expenses related to school clean up, repairs, and necessary renovations. Most immediately your donations will purchase outside tables necessary for lunch and learning spaces.

Thank you for considering this opportunity to help our brothers and sisters in Christ at Grace St. Pete.

We will collect monetary donations on Wednesday, November 6th in chapel.

  • This would be in addition to and separate from your normal chapel offering.
  • Please make checks payable to St. Luke’s Lutheran School and place in an envelope labeled “Grace St. Pete”.
  • If you wish to donate electronically using a credit card or your bank account go to: https://stlukes.tpsdb.com/Give/hurricane-relief-grace-st-pete

Blessings,
