I hope and pray that you are all having a relaxing and joyous summer! Here at St. Luke’s, we are busy planning and preparing for the upcoming school year. One of our favorite things to do is to develop a theme for the new year. I’m pleased to share with you that the theme for 2025-2026 is “Lord, Teach Us to Pray” based on Philippians 4:6: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God”

Prayer is an incredible gift from God – the opportunity to talk to God and share our praise, fears, love, and deepest needs. Our God longs to hear from us and promises to listen and respond according to His good and gracious will. However, for many of us our prayer life is rote and ceremonial and may be little more than asking God for stuff.

This year we will seek to harness the power of prayer as we surrender ourselves to God, celebrate Him, and learn to engage in intimate dialogue with our Savior. Students and staff will be working together to help enrich and deepen our prayer lives.

Enjoy the last days of summer, and we’ll see you soon!
