Please join us in welcoming Vicar Garrett and his family to the St. Luke’s community! We are excited to have him serving alongside us this year and look forward to the many ways he will bless our church, school, and families.

Vicar Garrett and his wife, Paige, have two young children, Drew (3) and Mary (5 months). As a family, they enjoy traveling, trying unique local restaurants, and spending time together.

Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Vicar Garrett earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Boise State University before working in the semiconductor industry. His career took him to several places around the world, including Germany, Israel, South Korea, and Alaska. In 2024, after discerning God’s call to pastoral ministry, he and his family moved to St. Louis to begin his studies at Concordia Seminary.

Although he did not grow up Lutheran, conversations with pastors and time spent learning more about the Lutheran faith led him to pursue pastoral ministry.

When asked what he’s most excited about serving at St. Luke’s, Vicar Garrett shared, “I’m excited to experience a different ministry setting and learn things that you don’t always have the opportunity to learn at every vicarage. There is so much to explore, and I’m looking forward to growing alongside this wonderful community.”

When he’s not studying or serving, Vicar Garrett enjoys making homemade Detroit-style pizza, traveling, and has visited five of the seven continents. His favorite Bible verse, Proverbs 12:1, reflects his desire to continually grow in wisdom and faithfully serve others.

Please join us in giving Vicar Garrett and his family a warm St. Luke’s welcome. We are grateful God has brought them to our community and look forward to the year ahead!
