Pastor Sam Shick has been a pastor for 15 months and we have been so blessed that he has been at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and School serving our school congregation and youth during this time. Pastor Sam loves being a pastor because he gets to be with people and share Jesus in their best, their worst, and everything in between. He loves St. Luke’s ministry from the cradle to the grave. His favorite time as the church and school’s Pastor is Holy Week and all its beauty. He also loves how seriously our congregation takes God’s word.
Pastor Sam loves being outside and playing sports. A fun fact about him is that he played tackle football. He is a Cleveland Brown’s fan. Go Browns! His favorite Bible verse is Colossians 1:17, “And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” He wants you to know that Jesus died for you and that the Pastors at St Luke’s are here for you.
“I think that pastor Sam is loved because of his love for our Lord and the joy that he has for all the congregants, but the high school kids love him so much because of his consistent and loving concern for them, in their walk with our Savior. He works hard to perform his weekly duties and strives to keep the high school kids high in his priorities.
