This week’s Staff Feature is our amazing School Nurse Practitioner, Mrs. Amanda Hirsch! Amanda graduated from UCF with her Master’s degree in Nursing and has been a dedicated Nurse Practitioner for 14 years, with 3 of those years spent caring for our St. Luke’s students. Her passion for helping kids and creating a comforting space full of bandaids boo-boos, and love is unmatched!
Amanda and her husband, who also works in the medical field, have been married for 11 years and are blessed with 4 children. They first met while working in the NICU – talk about a match made in the medical world!
When she’s not at St. Luke’s, you can find Amanda watching sunsets on the beach – her favorite way to relax and recharge or cheering at her kids’ sporting and dance events.
A fun fact about Mrs. Hirsch is that she once traveled to Australia and held both a kangaroo and a koala bear – a once-in-a-lifetime experience she will never forget!
Amanda’s favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3:6: “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” This verse has been a guiding light for her through life’s challenges and blessings, reminding her to trust in God’s plan.
What Amanda loves most about St. Luke’s is being with the kids. She describes her role as a comforting place filled for students. Whether she’s offering medical attention or emotional support, Amanda’s presence provides peace and comfort to our students.
Thank you, Amanda, for being a blessing to the St. Luke’s community! You are truly a shining light for all of us.
