This week’s Staff Feature is Miss Trinity Pelaez, one of our Kindergarten Teacher’s Aides. Miss Pelaez has been part of the St. Luke’s family for two and a half years. This is her first year serving as a Teacher’s Aide after previously working with our Friends and Fun program. She earned her associate degree from Valencia College before attending UCF, where she received her bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies, focusing on sociology and early childhood education with a minor in environmental studies. A lifelong learner, Miss Pelaez is preparing to return to UCF soon to begin her master’s degree in integrated business.
Outside of St. Luke’s, Miss Pelaez enjoys going to the beach, thrifting, and planning trips, birthdays, and other special occasions that give her something fun to look forward to with friends and family. Family is especially important to her, and she loves spending time with her three siblings. She also shares a wonderful bond with her mom, whom she considers her best friend. They make time to spend weekends together shopping, getting their nails done, and simply enjoying each other’s company. One fun fact St. Luke’s families may not know is that Miss Pelaez lived in the Republic of Georgia for several years! At St. Luke’s, one of her favorite traditions is the Preschool Graduation Ceremony, and her favorite worship song is “Oceans” by Hillsong, inspired by the account of Peter walking on water in Matthew 14.
For Miss Pelaez, St. Luke’s has become much more than a workplace. It has been an important part of her life and faith journey. “Being part of St. Luke’s has given me a sense of community, and everyone here has been so encouraging and willing to help me on my journey,” she shares. “I’m so blessed to have found the people who have gone above and beyond to help me get where I want to be.” We are grateful to have Miss Pelaez as part of our St. Luke’s family and for the care, enthusiasm, and sense of community she brings to our Kindergarten students each day.
