Staff Feature: Mrs. Annalisa Fitzsimons
This week’s Staff Feature is Mrs. Annalisa Fitzsimons, who serves as the Director of Christian Education at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, overseeing ministry for students from Preschool through Middle School. In her role, she leads Preschool chapel, select Middle School chapel services, Glow services, and the Generations Service on Sunday mornings. Annalisa’s connection to St. Luke’s runs deep—she began attending church here in seventh grade, was active in the youth group, joined the staff part-time in 2018, and came on full time in 2019.She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Christian Education Leadership and Psychology from Concordia University in Nebraska, where she also played collegiate soccer, and completed a minor in Spanish. Annalisa spent her internship year at Living Hope Church in Atlanta, gaining hands-on ministry experience that continues to shape her work today.
Mrs. Fitzsimons enjoys visiting Disney parks, spending time outdoors with her family, and watching sports. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Daniel, and they have two children who both attend St. Luke’s. Her favorite St. Luke’s tradition are the Advent services, and her favorite Bible verse is John 14:27, which reminds her of the peace God provides.
Annalisa describes her time at St. Luke’s as foundational to her faith, sharing that she did not know Jesus before becoming part of this community. The Christian adults who invested in her life helped guide her faith journey, and now she finds joy in doing the same for today’s students. With her own children attending St. Luke’s, she says serving here feels like a full-circle moment. St. Luke’s is thankful for Mrs. Fitzsimons and her impact on our students each day.
