Staff Feature: Mrs. Cheryl Louis

This week’s Staff Feature is dedicated to Mrs. Cheryl Louis, who has been serving as a Preschool Teacher’s Aide at St. Luke’s for the past twenty-one years. After graduating high school, she began her career as a travel agent in Massachusetts before discovering her passion for teaching. Over the years, she has become a cherished part of our community, sharing her warmth, dedication, and faith with every student she meets.

Outside the classroom, Mrs. Louis enjoys spending time with her three daughters and three granddaughters, with a first grandson on the way. She also loves cooking, relaxing at the beach, and being outdoors in her yard. One of her favorite St. Luke’s traditions is the back-to-school church service, where staff are re-installed—it’s a meaningful way to start the year. A fun fact about Mrs. Louis: she comes from a family of seven!

Her faith is at the heart of everything she does. Her favorite verse, Psalm 18:2, says, “The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; God my strength, in whom I trust.” Reflecting on her time at St. Luke’s, she shares, “The kids have taught me how Jesus works through them to show me His power, forgiveness, and grace.” We are truly grateful for Mrs. Louis and her many years of service to our students and families.
