Staff Feature: Mrs. Cristina Christie
This week’s Staff Feature is Mrs. Cristina Christie, who for the past nine years has been a joyful presence in our Preschool classrooms at St. Luke’s. As a Teacher’s Aide, she helps create a nurturing environment where young learners feel supported and loved each day. Cristina earned her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Stonehill College in Massachusetts and later received her teaching certificate from Seminole State College. Originally from New England, she has been married to her husband, Michael, for 17 years, and together they are raising their 13-year-old daughter and 11-year-old son.Outside of school, Cristina enjoys spending time at the beach, traveling, crafting on her Cricut, and being with her family. One of her favorite traditions at St. Luke’s is the Preschool and Kindergarten Mother’s Day Teas. She loves seeing the excitement on the children’s faces as they welcome their Moms to campus and share such a special time together.
Cristina’s favorite Bible verse, Philippians 4:13, reflects the faith that guides her daily work. She shares that one of the most meaningful parts of being at St. Luke’s is talking with students about Jesus and hearing them continue those conversations with one another. Knowing that she is helping lay a spiritual foundation in their lives has deeply impacted her own faith journey, and St. Luke’s is so thankful for Mrs. Christie and the love and dedication she brings to our school community.
