Staff Feature: Ms. Denise Mannino
This week’s Staff Feature is Ms. Denise Mannino, one of our Kindergarten Aides here at St. Luke’s. With 24 years of dedicated service to St. Luke’s School and as a member of the church since 1991, Denise has faithfully supported generations of students and families, making her a truly cherished and trusted presence on campus.Born and raised in Chicago, Denise is now happily settled in Florida, where family is at the heart of her life. In her free time, she treasures being at home surrounded by loved ones and especially cherishes the time she spends making memories with her granddaughters.
Denise’s favorite Bible verse is 2 Corinthians 4:17–18, which has guided her faith journey. One of her favorite St. Luke’s traditions is the “A Night in Bethlehem” walk-through. She fondly remembers gathering with neighbors for dinner before coming to campus to listen to Christmas music and hear the story of Christ’s birth, ending the evening with hot chocolate and cookies. It was a special time that brought together neighbors of all ages and created lasting memories.
Ms. Mannino’s ties to St. Luke’s run deep and are especially meaningful to her family. Her son, a St. Luke’s alumnus, is now married with two daughters—one currently attending St. Luke’s and another who will begin next school year. A fun fact many families may not know is that Denise once ran in the Disney Star Wars 5K. Being part of St. Luke’s has strengthened her faith, allowed her to share it with family and neighbors, and helped her build lifelong friendships with her coworkers. St. Luke’s is grateful for the joy and dedication Ms. Mannino shares with our students each day.
