Staff Feature: Ms. Sarah Wilbanks

This week’s Staff Feature is Ms. Sarah Wilbanks, Assistant Director for Preschool through Kindergarten, who is finishing her 18th year at St. Luke’s. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from Ole Miss and a Master’s degree in Special Education from Florida State University. A Florida native, Sarah was born and raised in Orlando, which makes her deep roots in the community especially meaningful as she continues to serve families at St. Luke’s.
Outside of school, Sarah enjoys staying active with workouts at Orange Theory, spending quality time with her two sons, Joshua and Tanner, and relaxing by the pool with a good book or simply enjoying the outdoors. Her family also includes two beloved Goldendoodles, Jax and Daisy. At St. Luke’s, one of her favorite traditions is Grandparents’ Day, where she loves seeing the joy of multi-generational connections on campus. Her favorite Bible verse, Jeremiah 29:11, reflects the faith that guides her both personally and professionally.
Sarah shares that her time at St. Luke’s has had a profound impact on her life and faith journey. Having previously worked in the public school system, she deeply values the strong sense of Christian community found here. She describes St. Luke’s as more than a workplace, a family grounded in faith where love for God and one another is evident each day. St. Luke’s is grateful for Ms. Wilbanks and the many ways she pours into the lives of students, families, and colleagues each day.
