This week’s Teacher Feature is Dr. Karen Jackson, our amazing 6th-grade Math & Science teacher! Married for 32 years and a proud mother of two, Karen has an impressive 28 years of teaching experience. Before joining us at St. Luke’s six years ago, she was a college professor for 20 years, and we are fortunate to benefit from her expertise and passion.
In her free time, Karen enjoys knitting, cross-stitching, playing cards, and reading. Her favorite Bible verse is John 15:5: “Apart from me, you can do nothing.” A fun fact about Karen is that she once fed a mother kangaroo at an Australian petting zoo so she could pet the joey in her pouch! What excites her most about being part of St. Luke’s is the opportunity to reach as many of God’s children as possible. We are so blessed to have Dr. Jackson on our team!
