This week’s Teacher Feature is Miss Crystal Jones, our incredible 3rd-grade teacher here at St. Luke’s! Crystal has been teaching for 9 years, with 5 of those amazing years spent with us. Born and raised in Florida, she originally planned to become a doctor, earning her Bachelor’s degree in Biology. However, after substituting in a classroom, she found her true calling and earned a second degree in Elementary Education from Concordia University in 2016.In her free time, Crystal loves going to Disney, reading, crafting, cooking, building with Legos, and diamond painting. She’s also on a mission to visit every continent, and she’s already checked off three—Australia, Europe, and North America!
Fun fact: Crystal once had a thrilling adventure in a hot air balloon with her grandmother that ended in a crash landing on the side of a mountain in South Dakota! Luckily, everyone was safe, but they had to climb down the mountain to be rescued!
Her favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
We’re so blessed to have Miss Jones as part of our St. Luke’s family!
