Teacher Feature: Miss Staral
This week’s Teacher Feature is the wonderful Miss Staral. Miss Staral has been part of the St. Luke’s family since 2019 and brings a heart for both education and missions. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from UCF and has taught internationally in Guatemala and Costa Rica, where she combined her passion for teaching with sharing God’s love. Her favorite part of working at St. Luke’s is teaching students about Jesus and making Bible stories come alive in meaningful ways.
Outside the classroom, Miss Staral is adventurous and active. She has visited Alaska, flown in a helicopter to land on a glacier, gone dog sledding, and is currently testing for her second-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. She loves encouraging her students to always believe in themselves and reminds them that Jesus is with them wherever they go.
Her favorite Bible verse, 2 Timothy 1:7, is a beautiful reflection of her approach to life and teaching: “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” With her faith, energy, and dedication, Miss Staral continues to be a blessing to her students and our school community.
