This week’s Teacher Feature is dedicated to one of our beloved preschool teachers educating our smallest Wildcats over in our STEAM program: Ms. Lauren Willover! Ms. Willover was born and raised right here in Oviedo and received her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from UCF. When she is not teaching our little ones, she loves spending time with her family, doting on her adorable niece, playing with her two Doodle puppies, going to the beach and having fun with her friends.
Ms.Willover first started working at St. Luke’s in our Friends and Fun aftercare program back in 2015. Her passion for teaching and her dedication to providing a safe environment for our children to learn and grow, made her the perfect fit for our STEAM program! Ms. Willover credits our STEAM program for providing the optimal opportunity to teach her students in an environment that allows them to learn and explore, especially while in our Outdoor Classroom. She takes immense pride in being trusted with the smallest members of our community and truly goes above and beyond for both her students, and their families.
Her favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
