Teacher Feature: Mrs. Anita Glanzer
This week’s Teacher Feature is dedicated to Mrs. Anita Glanzer, our wonderful Librarian who has been part of the St. Luke’s family since 2008! She loves getting to know all the students from kindergarten through 8th grade, seeing their smiling faces, and watching their love of reading grow. Her favorite Bible verse, Jeremiah 29:11, reminds her that God always has a plan and keeps His promises — a message she encourages her students to trust in every day. Before becoming our Librarian, Mrs. Glanzer taught first grade at St. Luke’s and previously taught in Colorado and Utah. She holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Education from Concordia University. A fun fact students might not know — she’s been skydiving and even did a front flip out of the airplane! Her adventurous spirit shows that she embraces life with enthusiasm both inside and outside the classroom.
Outside of school, Mrs. Glanzer enjoys reading, traveling, cooking, knitting, and spending time outdoors hiking. She and her husband, John, who also teaches at St. Luke’s, share a love of education and faith. Mrs. Glanzer says one of her greatest joys is seeing students excited about reading because, as she puts it, “reading opens so many doors.” We are truly grateful for Mrs. Glanzer and the passion, dedication, and joy she brings to the St. Luke’s community every day.
