Teacher Feature: Mrs. Benson

This week’s Teacher Feature is one of our three phenomenal kindergarten teachers Mrs. Benson.

Mrs. Benson and her husband are both pastors’ kids from Minnesota. They have two adorable sons, Dylan and Mason.  They moved to Oviedo in 2019 when Mrs. Benson answered a Divine Call to teach at St. Luke’s after prayerfully considering where God was leading her family to serve.

As an outdoorsy family, Florida life has been perfect for them. They love to spend their time at the many SLLCS family-friendly outdoor events and at the beaches! Mrs. Benson is also quite musical. She has played and taught handbells and has sung in many choirs throughout her life.

When she isn’t at the beach, playing music, and enjoying family time you just might find her out in the community making the day of a St. Luke’s student by going above and beyond to support them and share Jesus’ love. After all, her favorite part of working at St. Luke’s is sharing the love of Jesus daily.

She wants you to know, “Jesus loves you!” Her favorite bible verse is Philippians 4:13.
