This week’s Teacher Feature is Mrs. Katey Battreal, who is our wonderful 5th-grade teacher and has been part of the St. Luke’s family for 2 years! Originally from Pennsylvania, she attended Cedar Crest College, where she started a cheerleading team that didn’t exist when she arrived. She later earned her Master’s degree from UCF in Educational Leadership.
Mrs. Battreal has been teaching for 13 years, and when she’s not in the classroom, you can find her coaching our JV volleyball and cheerleading team, enjoying the beach, or heading to Disney with her family.
A fun fact: She competed in the Miss Florida pageant and won Miss Congeniality! But what she loves most is sharing the love and word of God with her students. Her favorite Bible verse is 2 Corinthians 5:7: “Walk by faith, not by sight.”
We’re so blessed to have Mrs. Battreal as part of our St. Luke’s community!
