This week’s Teacher Feature is Mrs. Kathy Brosch, our Technology Teacher & Tech Support specialist! Now in her second year at St. Luke’s, Mrs. Brosch brings 17 years of teaching experience, including 16 years in the high school classroom. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Central Florida and enjoys sharing her passion for technology with students. One of her favorite hymns is In the Garden, especially the first verse and refrain, which serves as a meaningful source of encouragement in her faith.

Mrs. Brosch encourages her students to embrace the mindset of being lifelong learners. She believes there is always something new to discover and that everyone is capable of continuing to grow, no matter their age. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys reading, sipping tea, and caring for the many plants that fill her front porch. Her perfect afternoon includes a good book, a warm cup of tea, a cozy blanket, and her cat curled up on her lap. Students may also be surprised to learn that she was born on an American military base in Germany and that her family has visited all 50 states and 14 countries.

Family is at the heart of Mrs. Brosch’s life. She and her husband, Eric, have been married for 26 years after meeting as high school sweethearts. Their daughter, Caitlin, is in her second year of college studying microbiology, and their son, Austin, is a junior in high school with plans to study finance. Mrs. Brosch loves being part of the St. Luke’s community because of its kindness, encouragement, and family atmosphere. St. Luke’s is grateful for Mrs. Brosch and the knowledge, encouragement, and enthusiasm she brings to our students each day.
