This week’s Teacher Feature is our wonderful 5th-grade teacher, Ms. Tiana Richmond! With 21 years of teaching experience, including 5 at St. Luke’s, she brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her students. She earned her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from the University of North Florida and has a Master’s in Education Leadership from UCF.
When she’s not teaching, Tiana enjoys going to the beach, traveling, reading, and spending time at Disney. Her heart belongs to her Dachshund mix, Bailey, who is her constant companion. A truly inspiring part of her journey is the year she spent in Malawi, a country in east Africa, as an education consultant, where she helped open a school in a village, hire and train teachers, and mentor educators as they prepared to welcome students. Her dedication to helping others grow left a lasting impact, and if that wasn’t impressive enough, she also shares her love of music by singing in her church choir!
What does she love most about St. Luke’s? The opportunity to share her faith while teaching. Her favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
We are so blessed to have Ms. Richmond as part of the St. Luke’s family!
